BMW GINA LIGHT

June 12th, 2008 | Category: Uncategorized

Instead of a metal or plastic body, BMW’s latest concept, the GINA Light Visionary Model, drapes a flexible fabric material over a moveable wire mesh frame, creating a nearly seamless surface that can alter its form at the whim of the driver.

If you’re feeling frisky, you can raise the tail like an angry dog, bulge the fenders as if you’ve injected them with steroids and reshape the sides of the car to transform it from a sleek roadster into an intimidating racer. No need to lift the hood to get a look at the engine — it opens from the center like Hulk Hogan tearing off his T-shirt. Even the seats and the dashboard can be customized under their smooth surfaces to fit the desires of the occupants. It was built on a discontinued Z8 platform – complete with a 5.0 liter V8 engine.

Toasted

June 03rd, 2008 | Category: Uncategorized

You’d think that making toast was the easiest thing one could do in the kitchen. But the fact remains that the average person burns more toasts per weeks than other food items like eggs, bacon or even a roast dish. Of course, I don’t have any official stats to prove that, since no one really gives a damn how many toasts get burnt in the kitchens across the world every morning, except this David Chacon guy of course who went through a lot of trouble and invented this wonderful see-though Dyson Toaster concept. The toaster features a high-tech see-through body based around product branding that allows users to check the toasting toast for toastiness, and as soon as the toast is toasty enough for their liking.

Hurns New Dog & Bone

June 03rd, 2008 | Category: Uncategorized

I have just upgraded my phone to the Samsung F480. It’s probably the closest phone you can get to a iPhone but with a better camera. It is a slim handset that’s dominated by its giant touch-sensitive screen. Not only does the 2.8-inch display make it easy to control the phone’s features, it also gives you feedback by gently vibrating when you press one of the on-screen buttons.

And there are many other surprises hidden inside this slender device. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, an LED flash and image stabilisation to improve your photos. You’ll also find an FM radio, a web browser and email. Would deffo recommend.
